Al-Fatehah

In my last post, I told a story about my Mak. A little bit of her life. I said, she’s gonna be 73 years old and Alhamdulillah she’s still in a good health. But apparently, Allah has a better plan. HE took her back 2 days after that post.

It was so sudden. She just had a short of breath and immediately stopped breathing after about an hour. Earlier that evening, I called her and we talked as usual, she said she has eaten and was chit chatting with my aunt who had just arrived from Sabah. But after Isya’ she started to feel pain and it’s getting worse, I quickly drove back home. When I arrived at 1230am, there were already many people, reciting Yaasin for Mak. I saw her laying in the middle of the house, body fully covered. I didn’t get to see her before she closed her eyes. Till this moment, I still couldn’t believe that she’s really gone.

How to live without Mak? 😞
How to accept that someone who always be there to love me, to scold me, is no longer in this world?

I know it takes time to fully redha, while I’m in the process to accept, adapt and adjust my life.

Accept that nobody will wait for me at home.
Accept that I can’t call her anymore.
Accept that I no longer can eat her cooking.

Accept that she had left me.

This would be the  last time I called this number

And in my prayer after solat, I usually said;
“Ya Allah, ampunkanlah dosa ibuku, Rokiah binti Othman, panjangkanlah umurnya dan berikanlah dia kesihatan yang baik”

That’s what I’ve been saying for more than 20 years. But now, I need to adapt to;
“Ya Allah, cucurilah rahmatMu ke-atas roh Mak...”

Dan kadang-kadang, aku masih tersasul. 😞

Next week, I’ll be back to work. Although I don’t want to but I have to. I still unsure how to do it.

And my mind still thinking, what’s next? Where should I be? I don’t know.

Ya Allah, please guide me and I ask You to show me what’s best through Your knowledge. Hanya padaMu aku bermohon dan hanya padaMu aku meminta pertolongan. Amin~

Al-Fatehah to my beloved Mak, Rokiah binti Othman. You will always be remembered in my heart ❤️

Everyday is Mother's Day

I had one week off and went back hometown 3 days before Hari Raya celebration. I was cleaning out the house and this is what I found:

My late father had a few diaries. I read some before but I don’t remember this one. This notes were written by mak. It’s the day I was born and the day ayah passed away.

Mak lost her husband at the age of 36, with 5 children and the last one was just 3 days old. She was a full-time housewife, living in KL, far from her parents. She’s not well educated but she had to find a job, worked and struggled to raise her kids, alone in KL. Mak said, there were people offered her to adopt me, but she refused to give in. Also, some guys came to propose her for a marriage but she rejected too. All she thought about was her children, to ensure they had enough money, enough food to live together.

After a couple of years, mak returned for good to her kampung as requested by her parents. Mak worked at many places, from canteen helper to dish washer. With low pay and underestimate job, I think it had drained her energy and changed her to be a bad-tempered person. Because I remember that I always get scolded. Eheh. But I kinda understand now, it’s difficult for her to juggle financially and emotionally for her children needs. I know she did her best to provide a living for us. Thankfully, although we were not in wealth, we’re not in poverty either.

Mak had worked for more than 20 years, until I finished my college. The last job was a dish washer at factory’s canteen. I hate to admit, there were times I felt embarrass about mak’s job. Please forgive me, I was still young and stupid. But now, I’m no other than proud of her.

In Mak’s life, she has lost many people she loved. A husband at her young age, her mother and father left when I was 12 years old, both less than a year and then her 25 years old daughter. She had 8 siblings, but only 4 left now. All I pray to Allah is to give her a good health and I don’t die before her. Aminn~

This year, Mak is turning 73 years old. Thank God, she’s still able to walk, eat, cook and do many things by herself. She doesn’t have any critical illnesses, only high-blood pressure and gout sometimes. But what worrying me is I noticed that she starts to forget things. It breaks my heart and made me realized that she’s getting old, very old, even though she looks healthy. I live far from her at the moment but I’m planning to go back by this year to live with her. I want to spend more time with her and take a good care of her.
Yes, hopefully.
My beautiful Mak.

Let me tell you.
Dunia ni memang tak adil. Dunia ni kejam! Kita hidup kat dunia ni akan ditimpa macam-macam dugaan.

Kadang-kadang dugaan itu sesuatu yang tak tertanggung. Dada rasa nak pecah, hati calar berdarah.

Hanya satu kita perlu yakin, Allah Maha Adil.

Happy birthday to me!

A few days ago, I celebrated my birthday.
And that would be the most memorable birthday in my life.

Today.
Another heart-broken story. It feels unbearable now but I know it’s gonna be ok. I’m gonna be ok. Definitely.
Just that I must pretend that I’m all good while in the office, around so many people. I have to divert this feeling and try to keep myself busy, rather than staying at home and cry.

But this feeling sucks!

Well, life has to go on.

I read some of my old posts in this blog. And made me remember that I went through even worse situation. So many series of heart-broken and frustration. Apparently I managed to stand up again and moved on.
This time, I trapped in the same cycle. But I know for sure, I’ll get over it too. Time will heal.

Happy birthday to me! 😊

Once you walked away

i have to admit
that i used to like you
very much
and i still remember
the way you treated me
very well

i dreamt to be with you
eventho it seems impossible - sometimes
made me thinking alot about what if and how
just to make this relationship works

i gave you chances
many times
but then i realized
it just gave me pain
over and over again
and i should have known
that you don't have the same feelings
as i do

then at one point
i don’t bother anymore
and i let you go
days by days make me stronger
and back to track
i have my life back

but you come again
occasionally say hi
like nothing ever happened
and expect me to reply

isn't that funny?
maybe not for you
but definitely for me

sorry, i just want to say
once you walked away
dont ever turn back

Oh duit

Duit duit duit
Pagi petang siang malam asek pikir duit
Cuba jugak simpan dalam tabung sikit sikit
Tapi hutang yang membukit

Bila dapat gaji bayar bil sana sini
Tambah headache time ada emergency
Blom kira kalau kete rosak lagi
Terpaksa hidup kais pagi makan pagi
Hmm apa nak jadi hidup macam ni?

Ada masa tak bole dah nak bernafas, rasa sesak dada
Usaha lonjak-lonjak curi udara tapi akhirnya terkapai jua
Masa tu la terpaksa tebal muka mintak pinjam kat member
Itupon delay delay sebab rasa kelu lidah nak berkata
Sampai beras tinggal sebutir baru nak buka mulut meminta
Tambah hutang kann... mana ada orang suka
Ye tak ye?

Tapi aku tengok ramai jugak orang yang macam tu
Kos hidup makin meningkat, harga barang makin meninggi
Sewa rumah, transport, nak tanggung makan pakai famili
Duit gaji memang tinggal takat celah gigi
Aihh gimme 5 la kawan-kawan, kita memang selori
Mari sesama berhuhu mengenang nasib sendiri

Someone

Someone
Who you can talk to about everything
About family, friends, car to cat
2-3 hours fly so fast when you chat
Conversation never ends like you won't meet again

Someone
Who has the same taste of music
And always share the latest favorite song
So you can enjoy together and sing along

Someone
Who can understand on how you feel
During ups and downs, always stand still
Never condemn at your fault
Love no matter you're sugar or salt

Someone
Who can finish your lines before you speak
Can complete the lyrics when you can't seek
Laugh at your jokes when others don't get it
Can read your mind eventhough you zipped

Someone
Who remembers to say Hello
Even workload flow, no time for tobacco
But they never let you out of the show
Because that's what friends always for

Someone
Who you can call the best companion

Dari hati untuk lelaki

Wa memang suka mamat smart
Tapi jangan la metrosexual sangat
Wa tengok pon penat
Yang asek kontrol hensem tu lagi meluat

Wa suka yang rambut pacak
Tak nak la botak
Pakai kasut lepak kedai mamak
Kalau pegi shopping complex
Pakai short pon takpe asal bukan selipar
Kalau pakai singlet lagi wa tak suka

Wa tak kesah
Biar tak kacak asalkan segak
Jaga standard tapi bukan berlagak
Cuma zaman sekarang ni yang poyo je melambak

Kawan wa ada pesan
Jangan tengok luaran
Dalaman tu yang kau kena tekankan
Jaga solat, jaga adab, pandai jaga perasaan
InsyaAllah bahagia masa depan

Dari kawan untuk kawan

Kalau tak suka
Cakap je
Jangan tarik muka
Kita bukan budak darjah 5
Suka merajuk sini sana
Tetiba tak bertegur sapa

Aku berkawan senang je
Tak suka berkira
Lebih kurang dah le
Hal kecik takyah terasa
Tak suka marah tak tentu hala
Kalau kau timbangrasa
Aku lagi bagi muka

Berkawan bukan setakat lepak sesama kat kedai mamak
Bukan setakat tempat kau carik masa tengah sesak
Bukan jadi peneman hanya bila kau bosan bagai nak rak

Kawan tu macam keluarga
Macam kau layan adik beradik sama bapa
Kalau tak sama pon kau tetap tak beza
Sebab kau tau kalau da famili tu tetap stick together

Tapi aku tau Tak semua orang camtu
Takpela kalau kau hepi begitu
May God bless you!

Welcome 2016!

Well, it’s a 3rd day of new year. Welcoming 2016 with big SMILE.

While some people wrapping up their 2015 with sweet achievements, I could only reminiscing the grief that I had through the year.
Where I was struggling with emotions, slowly gaining conscious and reassembling myself to build new life.

Ok, enough with all the sadness and painful memories.

New year resolution? No I don’t have any, as I never keep it anyway.

I just hope that 2016 will bring more happiness to me. Aminn~

Goodbye! 2015

This year, we see a lot of increment
The price of petrol, toll, almost everything in market
Plus, GST
Not to mention, the worrying increment of stupidity among Ministers

After increasing the living cost, they advise people to do 2-3 jobs in a day
Do part-time job, online business, open up burger stall, apam-balik or any
Which adding another burden

I don’t want to live wealthily
But I want to live moderately, peacefully, happily and restfully

As encouraged by the greatest leader in the world, our prophet Muhammad p.b.u.h and written in Quran:
“He it is Who made for you the night that you should rest therein, and the day to see. Surely in those are signs, indications of His Oneness, exalted be He, for those who are able to hear (who think deeply).” (Surah Yunuus: 67)

Similar message is repeated many times in Quran and sure there are a lot to share
The point is, a great leader will help to provide a balanced work-life for people
While a stupid leader do the opposite
Talk more, think less

Hope for a better standard of living and giving in 2016

In a relationship with Chiki

Last week, went back Hometown for long holiday. And as usual, Chiki my mixed-persian white kitty was never leave behind.

She has been my closest companion for about 5 months now. Whenever I reach home, I can see her waiting patiently at the glass door and at night, she sleeps on my bed. When I drive, she will lay on my lap or sit on my shoulder to be my head-rest. She follows me wherever I go - kitchen, room, toilet. Chiki is faithful and sweet. I know, ‘I’m in relationship with my cat’. Hehe.

Chiki was given by a friend of mine when I feel empty living alone after moving to another town. Since small, I always have a cat at home. So without them, my life feels incomplete.
On that one day, I went out to meet some friends. When I get home at night, my nephew said: “Chiki is gone”. I was stunned. Chiki never go far outside and I felt upset that nobody observed when she’s out. It was near to 11pm and I walked around the neighborhood area to look for Chiki. I called out her name but no trace, no sound of her bell. I waited outside until 1am and kept searching but she didn’t come back. Probably someone already had her.

I couldn’t sleep. I went out again at 3am but Chiki still not there. I can’t believe that she’s really gone and that feeling of losing something special in life occurred back to me and totally broke my heart. I cried to sleep and accidentally woke up at 730am. I heard scratching sound at the door and when I opened, Chiki was there, meowing. It’s a miracle!

I had many experience of losing something/someone that I love and care so much. Maybe I’m such a strong person that’s why I always been tested. Well, am I?
I learned that everything we have is not belongs to us, but Allah. So when it’s taken back from us, be REDHA.

I’m hoping that Chiki could live with me in a long period of time. Amin~

Hurt

Ok. Arghh!!!

Actually, what hurts the most?
a. When you like someone but that someone doesn't like you as much as you do.
b. When you wake up alone in the morning and suddenly feel the emptiness in your life.
c. When it's only 5th of the month and you just left RM50 in your account.

Sungguh tak best kan?
Rasa macam putus cinta pon ade jugak.
Oh I hate this feeling!!!

Antara...Someone Like You - Adele

Atau...Jar of Hearts - Christina Perri

Kalau lagu versi bahasa melayu pulak?

Antara....Bila Cinta - Lagenda Budak Setan

Atau...Lara Lagi - Adira

Sob sob sob~ Memang banyak lagi lagu-lagu yang syahdu.
Layankan jela bila perasaan sedih tu datang. Bukannya selalu pon..Huhuhuu~

Kita: Dulu dan Kini

Ari ni ari Sabtu. *Semua orang tau la ngok.*

Kalo tak keje dan takde pape plan, sure macam biasa aku bangun tido pkol 12 tghari. Tapi arini TERpaksa plak pegi kawen. Eh, pegi kenduri kawen.

So many words to say, so many things to share and so many stories to tell.

Huhu.

Hari raya, chinese new year, deepavali, krismas, sumenye aku sambut. Seronok gi open house merata-rata.

Ni mase team annual dinner.

Dan setiap bulan, team kitorg mesti ade buat outing. Memang wajib.

Hehe.

Bila teringat masa tu, aku memang rasa rindu sangat.

Tahun 2006 membawa begitu banyak anjakan paradigma. Memang rasa betul-betul kehilangan. Nak keje pon takde mood.

Dan lepas tu, team lead lagi sorang plak nak resign. Pon nak pegi Singapore jugak.

Tapi....a'ah ade tapi. Mungkin sebab famili tak bagi restu, permohonan utk dapat visa kerja plak tak lulus. Tak tau ape sebab sebenarnya, tapi impian nak keje kat sana berkubur mcm tu je. Sedih.

Gambar tak clear sbb photo captured by camera phone.
Tak rajin nak scan. Ngee.
Dan hari ni.

Kawan aku berkahwin akhirnya. Dia masih keje kat situ tapi bakal pindah ke Cyberjaya sebab kene ikut husben dia. Memang kitorg still keep in touch walopun masing2 da kat tempat lain. Keep in touch by facebook, sms, tapi memang da lama gila tak jumpa. So hari ni sangat gembira sebab dapat bertemu kembali.

Alo kawan, yg 2 orang keje kat singapore tu pon datang tau. Korang baru drive tak smpai sejam dari sana pon tak bole datang.

Nevermind la, kalo ade umur panjang, we'll meet again.

To Fauziah, congratulations and may u both live happily together ever after.

To Suki, life is full of challenges. But i hope whatever circumstances come across our way, we'll be stronger to face it and always remember, we are not alone.

To Zaidi, glad to see u again. I'm so happy~

Oh lelaki...tolonglah!!

Walaupon korang rasa skema, harap sila teruskan membaca.

Ngee~

Senario 1: Parking lot
- Kalo tengok ade perempuan tengah jalan sorang-sorang, boleh tak ko lelaki jangan ikut jalan belakang dia dekat-dekat?

- Pastu jangan nak usik-usik, siul-siul pastu sebok nak teman hantar dia pegi kat kereta bole tak?

Senario 2: Dalam bas awam
- Dah kalo korang tu satu geng, apehalnya korang nak duduk kerusi sorang satu? Bajet nak suh awek datang duk sebelah la?

Senario 3: Kat bustop

Pastu cam paksa-paksa plak. Orang dah cakap tanak tu, blah jela.

Senario 4: Tengah drive sensorang
- Ko nak main cucuk-cucuk pehal? Bila dah potong, slow plak dok depan. Ok faham, nak tunjuk kete power la kot.

Senario 5: Bawak motor pulak

Citer banyak-banyak nanti aku jadi emo pastu orang lelaki tambah sakit ati plak.
Cuma harapnya dorang dapat tangkap isu yang cuba aku sampaikan dan sekaligus, mempelajari 'moral of the story'. Hehe.

Aku cinta lelaki.
Peace No War!

Yes, we are still racist and not sensitive.

I have many friends with different races.
Some of them are not only friends, but good friends. Friends who I can share my problem with, share my food with and share my pillow too.
Eventhough we are from different races, but we don't see it as a barriers to be nice to each other.
That's when we are good friends.

But some people are tend to forget about certain things, which are very sensitive. Sometimes, I don't think they've forgotten. but they just don't care.

I still remember during my first interview about few years back, I'd been asked "If you and your friends were discussing about something and suddenly there is another friend coming to join your table, and this friend doesn't understand your language, what will you do? Continue talking on the same language or change to another language that all of you can understand?"
Reason to ask this question is, in the workplace we are mix of races. Hence, many languages. But, we only speak one language that everybody understand. As a sign of respect. Such a big word, RESPECT!

Could you imagine, when you're having dinner with bunch of people, and they speak their own language which you don't understand. How do you feel? Isolated, feel ignored like you're never exist, and that's not a good feeling. Also, deep-down inside, feel angry.

Or when you're together in a car, they turn on their favorite radio station as if they not realize that you don't understand the language. And you have to listen to that station for hours of the journey. What should I call this? Cruel? Selfish? They just don't care.

It's also not a new thing to see, at our workplace or in class, people are usually group by race. Malays only hangout with malays. Chinese only eat with chinese. So do Indians. Sometimes, they will mix with others if they don't have any other friends. But once they found their own type, they will ignore the others.

There would be lot of areas to discuss when talking about race sensitivity. Not only language, but also food, tradition, customs, etc.
However, I believe it's not a difficult thing to practice. Only requires all of us to learn to be more sensitive and more respectful to each other.

We are 1 Malaysia, aren't we?

Being Customer 'Service'

May I ask, what is your occupation?
Is your job requires you to communicate with people?
Or just working by your own self with no interaction to others?

I wonder, is there such a job?

Ok, let me roughly introduce myself.
I was graduated in Information Technology, major in Software and was aiming to be a programmer. But to get a job as an IT programmer was quite difficult. Most of the job required an experience. So for a beginning, I worked as an IT Support Consultant in one multinational company.

It is called IT support consultant, also known as IT Support Engineer, or IT Helpdesk. Or you may call it any name, but genuinely we all do the same task. To assist the customer/client/user on solving their IT related issues, via email and phone call.

That was a great job with high pay. But after few years, I started to feel extremely bored, fed up and sick of servicing the customers which most of the times are very irate and demanding. Day by day, I did not feel motivated to go to work till I decided to leave the profession. The worst thing was, I felt the job has changed myself to be a hot-temper type of person. I was glad that I made a right decision.

Then, I tried another job, but still dealing with people. But this time was meeting face to face, which I rather like it more. I like the job eventhough it was tough most of the time as it involved in convincing and persuading. In another words, doing sales. So, you know how it works. But it went quite well, until I encountered a personal issue in mylife.
That personal issue had forced me to leave the job.

Few months after that, I started a new life by unwillingly becoming customer service again but have to do it for the sake of living. And was trying to hunt a job which doesn't need me to meet other people. Or at least working in an office without any communication to outside people. But in the process of searching, I noticed, most of, or I could say, all of the job round the world has 'customer service' in it. There's no job for me to hide from public/people.

Who says, accountant doesn't need a good customer service? Even a busdriver also need to have that softskills.
In life, you need to learn being nice to other people. And, customer service is the best way to improve yourself as a person. It will teach you to be patient, soft-spoken, be respectful, helpful and friendly.

Now, I start to enjoy this job.

I ♥ Despicable Me

Yesterday, I watched 'Despicable Me' on big screen.
Oh finally, yeah!!

I’ve always looking forward to go for this movie after getting influenced by the thriller and the making of.

Yes, children will definitely love the cute characters, but I believe adults will still find the movie very amusing. (If you don’t, please consult your doctor).

Ok, please don’t ever think that I am a childish adult. I’m just a person with lots of enjoyment. Hehe. (Well everybody, there is a child in you.)

This movie is a story about Gru, who is an evil supervillain that has slowly changed to be a good person. Since he’s a little boy, he did so many things just to impress his mom, but unfortunately never get an attention from the nasty mother. By becoming the most outstanding criminal in history, he was thinking that he would make his mom proud.

In the plan to accomplish his mission to steal the moon, he decided to adopt 3 adorable orphans. He didn’t know the charm of the three little girls could melt his cold heart.

One thing that I learnt from this movie is, how giving and sharing ♥love♥ can change a person. Undeniable, love is powerful, right?

This movie not only makes you giggle, laugh but through the end, it could make your eyes go wet. (Yes, I’m such a weeper.)

Just watch the movie, and figure out yourself.

Let’s see their sweet moments together.

Lovely daddy.

From bad to dad.

p/s: Spread your love to the loved one, two, three, four...and more!

Golek-golek atas katil selama 10 minit, baru bangun.

6:10 am - Prepare hot bath. Ngehh...mesti la kena gunakan kesempatan sebaik mungkin. Kat uma nanti dah tak dpt rasa dok dalam bath tub. Hehe.

6:45 am - Bersiap-siap sampai rasa diri dah cun macam Siti Nurhaliza. Pastu main internet jap.

Seperti:

1. Tengok muka trainer
2. Buat-buat fokus dengan apa yang diajar
3. Tutup mulut beberapa kali sebab nak cover menguap
4. Bulatkan mata besar-besar untuk kasi tahan ngantuk
5. Skejap-kejap bangun gi toilet
6. Curik masa 2-3 minit enjoy mocha kat pantry
7. Tengok jam setiap 10 minit sambil mencongak time nak balik.

6:00 pm - Yahoo!!! Da boleh balik. (Tapi itupon kalo trainer tak drag lagi stengah jam.)

6:45 pm - Sampai bilik. Mandi.

7:00 pm - Bermula aktiviti bebas.

1. Tido (sorang diri)
2. Pegi gym walaupon sekadar berlari dengan berkaki ayam.
3. Mandi wap/Steam/Sauna
4. Berenang-renang ke tepian
5. Gi kuar makan
6. Lepak2 borak2
7. Study (kononnya.) eh tak, memang serius study.
8. Mengadap Mini smpai pkol 1 am.

12:00/1:00/1:++ am - Tido puas-puas sehingga mengulangi aktiviti yang sama semula.

So tak bole main-main!

p/s: Kepada peserta2 peraduan Ada Apa Dengan Nama, terima kasih sekali lagi sebab sudi join. Semua entry saya dah baca, cuma ada yang tak sempat nak tinggalkan komen lagi. Nanti free, saya akan sambung, Tungguuuu~

Kawan biar Beribu

Today is Friendship day?
OMG! How could I've forgotten bout that?

A.N.C.E" "You're my wonderful friend". etc.

Walaupon mungkin kita jauh dimata, walaupon kepentingan kita tak lagi serupa, namun teknologi tak pernah memutuskan kita.

Aku sayang korang selalu.

p/s: Bestnya bila dpt kuar lepak minum teh tarik dgn kawan-kawan.
